The focal point of the hotel is the pool area. The large rectangular pool has a diving board. To the side, and sheltered by makuti thatch, are table tennis, darts and snooker. There is also a giant chess set with wooden African Playing pieces. A thatched bar and restaurant at poolside serves a snack and a la carte menu. It is open-sided and has views of the ocean through a stand of palms trees. Stretching from the pool to the beach is an area well-shaded by mature palms and other indigenous trees where guests can lie on padded lounge chairs placed on the sand.

The hotel is built on a slope-there are winding paths and series of wide cement steps. Low-rise accommodation blocks are reached through tropical gardens vivid with bougainvillea. Some rooms have good ocean views, but most are set further back, only glimpsing the sea through palm trees. The main dining area is open to gardens and fish ponds-but has no sea view or breezes.
